We acknowledge that we are on land and surrounded by water, originally inhabited by Indigenous Peoples who have travelled this area since time immemorial. This territory is within the lands honoured by the Wampum Treaties; agreements between the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Lenni Lenape and allied Nations to peacefully share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. Specifically, we would like to acknowledge the presence of the Three Fires Confederacy Ojibwe, Odawa, Potawatomi and Huron/Wendat Peoples. We are dedicated to honouring Indigenous history and culture while remaining committed to moving forward respectfully with all First Nations, Inuit and Métis.

  • Recommendation

    That direction be provided on appointments to the Statutory Committee of Adjustment and Property Standards Committee for the term ending November 14, 2026, or until such time as new members are appointed;

    And that that the Applications for Appointment to the Tecumseh Accessibility Advisory Committee (TAAC) from Ron Matysek, Ron Doherty, Christine Quaglia, Melissa Bloomfield, Patrick Strong and Tracy Crow be accepted;

    And further that direction be provided on Council Member and lay member appointments to the remaining Statutory Committees and Boards for the term ending November 14, 2026;

    And furthermore, that all applicants be notified of Council’s decision on Committee and Board appointments by the Acting Clerk and that by-laws be prepared for Council to adopt and formally appoint members to the 2022 - 2026 Statutory Committees and Boards at their next regular meeting on January 24, 2023.
